Large, handsome chart of Copernicus' theory of the solar system surrounded with panels of French text. The outermost planet is noted as Herschel, the first planet discovered in modern times by William Herschel in 1781. Herschel named it the Georgian Planet in honor of his patron, King George III of England. However, because the other planet names came from classical mythology, the planet was eventually renamed Uranus around 1850.
