This interesting broadsheet advertisement for Johnson's new atlas will appeal to the true cartophiles out there. The atlas is touted by the publisher as "the most perfect Atlas of the World ever published." The entire sheet is filled with glowing testimonials from "gentlemen distinguished in public affairs, science art and education." Of particular interest, since the atlas was published during the Civil War, is a section, relegated to the bottom of the sheet for the "opinion of distinguished Southern men." The verso includes a description of the atlas by the publisher.
