This lot consists of seventeenth century title pages and frontis pieces from English atlases. Included are a fine sheet of armorial shields engraved by Joducus Hondius, 1614, for John Speed's Theatreand 2 examples of Speed's title page. There is also a title page from Holinshed's Chronicles and the text title page from John Ogilby's America. Sizes vary from 7.3 x 11.5" to 9.5 x 15".
