Le Rouge, cartographer to Louis XVI and a military engineer, copied this large-scale chart from Jefferys' chart that was compiled from surveys by Anthony Ravell. It was produced for use by the French Navy and merchants. It shows the parishes of St. Kitts with plantations and settlements delineated. There is extensive detail of the topography, roads, mills, forts, anchorages, soundings, etc. A large inset contains an equally detailed map of Nevis. The map was separately issued and was published in his Pilot Americain Septentrional
