This lot of working British Admiralty charts covers much of the west coast of South America. All have land-view elevations of the shore to assist the mariner, sailing notes, soundings, tidal notes, magnetic variation rose, and more. The first has hand coloring to lighthouses and each is sized as given. The lot includes:
1) South America West Coast Sheet IV Chile Guaytecas Islands to C.S. Antonio.
2) South America West Coast Sheet XI Coast of Chile Cape Paquica to Cape Lobos. Includes five inset plans of Pabellon de Pica; Patillos Cove; Caleta Buena; Mejillones Cove; and Buaina Pisagua Bay.
3) South America West Coast Sheet X Bolivia & Chile Pt. Grande to Pt. S. Francisco. With four inset charts: El Cobre Bay; Chimba Bay; Antofagasta; and Anchorage at Angamos Point.
4) South America West Coast Sheet XII Peru Cape Lobos to Pescadores Point. Large inset of Port Mollendo.
5) South America West Coast Sheet XX Buenaventura to Cape Marzo. A large number of soundings in Buenaventura Bay.
