Elwe based his map of the seventeen provinces of the Low Countries on Jaillot's map of the same title. The map is filled with details of the cities and villages. Opposite corners are adorned with cartouches; at top left the title cartouche is comprised of mythical figures and at bottom right the distance scales is topped with the crests of the provinces.

Crisp impression and original color. There is some light soil and a professional repair on the centerfold, else very good.
