Bird's-eye plan of the town of Lier based on Braun & Hogenberg's earlier view of the city. The city is protected with two moats, with the inner moat enclosing the medieval town. At the heart of the city is St. Gummarus church and the town hall on the Grote Markt (marketplace). Decorated with coats of arms, strapwork cartouches and Elizabethan figures standing on a hill overlooking the city.
