This very scarce map of France is filled with detail of the rivers, mountains, cities and towns. It is richly adorned with a huge, strapwork title cartouche, a coat of arms, sailing ships, a sea monster and a beautiful compass rose. Hondius' imprint with the date appears in the cartouche and Melchior Tavernier's imprint from Paris appears to the right of the distance scale. Blank verso.
