This lot of four features the desirable map Northern America British, Russian & Danish Possessions in North America, (15.5 x 12"). It is a fine steel engraved map of Canada showing all the provinces and locating major rivers, lakes, and cities. Today's British Columbia and Yukon are here called New Georgia. Regions that make up today's Northwest Territory and Alberta are labeled Mackenzie River, Peace River, Athabasca, English River, Great and Lesser Slave Lake, and Churchill. Area extends to show most of Greenland and Alaska here called Russian Possessions Nice example with a couple foxing spots in blank area within title (B+).
