This is the only "Air Trails" pocket map we know of that covers the entire United States. The map is beautifully rendered to include light hachure to suggest terrain, bold orange to delineate boundaries and full blue in the seas. The map does not contain any navigation information but the verso is filled with information for the aviator which reads much like a modern Private Pilot's lesson book with information on Plotting the Course, How To Find the Compass Course, Corrections for Wind, the Magnetic Compass and a Time and Distance Chart. Folds into a handsome Art Deco-style cover featuring a Ford Tri-Motor aircraft and a steam locomotive below. Priced at $0.50 - at the time a large amount of money, these Air Trails maps were produced for a very short time and are scarce today.

The map is fine with strong, bold color and printing. A few small fold intersection splits but still fine. Covers are near fine as well with no flaws just a trace of soiling along one edge.
