This finely detailed map of Scandinavia and the Baltic was engraved by J. Lhuiler. It provides a great deal of information, particularly in Sweden and along the coastlines. It extends to the White Sea with a notation concerning the inhabitants of Lapland. The title cartouche is topped by the royal arms of Sweden, then the most powerful nation in the region that included present-day Finland and Ingria (the region of St. Petersburg).
