The region north of the Lake of Neuchatel is the focus of this finely engraved map. The graphic style of the engraving provides detail of abbeys and monasteries, castles, fields, mineral springs, forests, roads, cities and towns. The map is oriented with north toward the upper right by a large compass rose and it is decorated with a title cartouche.
