Woodcut scene by Thure de Thulstrup included as a "Supplement to Harper's Weekly, May 11, 1889." Thure de Thulstrup was a Swedish-born illustrator who, after emigrating to America, became one of the leading illustrators for a number of magazines, including three decades of work for Harper's Weekly. Thulstrup primarily illustrated historical military scenes, with this being an excellent example.
