This early geological map of the state identifies 13 formations with hand coloring keyed to a legend at right. Above the map is a "Section Through Northern Ohio" which uses the same hand coloring to identify the formations in strata. Below the map is the full-width "Section from Cincinnati to Marietta" which also shows the colored strata. A handsome map from the coloring, fancy titling and the delicate banknote-style border. This is only the third map attributed to Newberry.
