This is a superb, decorative map of the southern part of Sweden. The forested topography and lakes are well depicted and there are numerous place names. The large cartouches have a military theme with Mars and his fierce hounds atop the title. The map is further embellished with several sailing ships and coats of arms. This is the first state with a scales cartouche at lower left. Dutch text on verso.
