This is an uncommon early 19th century map of Georgia and Alabama, showing towns, roads, rivers, lakes, mountains, swamps, court houses, Indian Villages, forts, etc. A large region dedicated to Cherokee Indians and several largely unsettled counties appear in eastern Alabama and northwestern Georgia. The inset plan of Savannah shows the city in street and block layout. Engraved and printed by Fenner Sears & Co. The original trim is into the imprint at bottom below the neatline. Nevertheless the date of Oct. 15, 1831 is recognizable.
