This is a charming little map of Zakynthos (Zante) in the Ionian Islands. The large salt flats are clearly marked, as is the city built around the hilltop citadel. Two ships and a sea monster embellish the map. It was published by Cornelius Claesz and printed by Langenes in the first edition of the popular Map-treasury. Dutch text on verso.

There are some printer's ink smudges and some minor soil.
