This rare promotional booklet was produced by the Mandel Brothers company who note the store occupies four acres and employees over 1,700 people. The soft cover booklet has 28 pages plus a very detailed folding street map of Chicago "Exposition Guide Company's Map of Chicago," 14.5" x 14.5". The map shows railroad and streetcar lines as well as a list of depots and hotels. It also displays the 1871 fire zone and has a detailed street index on the verso. Within the booklet are 11 pages of illustrations of important buildings and four pages of photographs of prominent people associated with the fair, plus a map of the fair grounds. The booklet contains several sections including the helpful and "Reliable Guide to the Stranger." An uncommon Colombian Exposition piece.

Condition: A

The back cover of the booklet has a 3/4" chip in one corner else is very good. The map is fine with no flaws but does have on its verso the stamp for the Hotel Ingram on 60th Street & Washington Ave.
