This scarce map of Texas appears identical to the issue by H.R. Page, but does not carry his imprint. The map shows great detail with most counties formed by 1889 with only a few large blocks in the west. The western tip of Texas is not included on the main map, but in a bizarre configuration it is drawn upside down below the Rio Grande River, uncolored and virtually invisible. The numerous railroads are well delineated and named. Map presents the counties individually colored and locates the cities and towns, watershed and other physical features. The map includes most of Indian Territory. Surrounded by a banknote-style decorative border.

Very nice example with crisp impression and fine color. A few short marginal tears, closed on verso, else very good.
