This map shows the entire Caribbean as well as southern Florida, the Bahamas, the coastline of northern South America and a good deal of Central America. With the small inset "Bermudas." This map should not to be confused with the more common maps from the Comprehensive Atlas as this sheet is several inches larger and carries more information. It is from the first edition of this scarce atlas, which was published in a few editions between 1838 and 1845. Engraved by G.W. Boynton.
