A fine view of Dutch Fort Oranje on the island of Itamaraca off the North east coast Brazil. Native people and boats fills the foreground and a key at bottom identifies the important sites. This engraving originally appeared in Montanus' great work in 1671. This edition is printed on a large folio sheet of sturdy paper indicating a later publication probably by Vander Aa.

Fine impression with extremely wide margins. There is some faint foxing in the margins and on verso, still a fine example.
