This charming map of Wales is based on the map of Humphrey Lhuyd, 1568. It is filled with details of mountain ranges, forests and cities and also shows the coast of Ireland with Dublin located. The map was engraved by Petrus Kaerius for Hondius shortly after he acquired the plates for Mercator's famous atlas. It is beautifully embellished with decorative title and scale of miles cartouches. French text on verso.
