The first is from Cluver's Introduction a la Geographie, (4.3 x 4.3"). It shows the western hemisphere with a circumference of 5400 and a diameter of approximately 1718 German miles. It has been trimmed from a sheet of Latin text. The second diagram, titled Projectio Optica Hemisphaerii Polaris Arctici , is from Henrich Scherer's Atlas Novus, (7.3 x 9.4").
