This charming miniature map of Asia includes some interesting cartography in northeastern Asia. A huge Terre de Iesso, which extends off the map, is separated from the mainland by a narrow strait, below which are the islands of Korea and Japan. While most of Duval's maps are based on the cartography of Sanson, this feature does not resemble any of Sanson's maps and appears to have originated with Duval.
