This is a scarce and detailed map of the island drawn with north oriented to the left. The mountainous island is shown in remarkable detail, both in the interior and coastal regions with many place names. A small portion of India is shown with the shallows stretching between Manaar across to Rameshwaram on the mainland. Small compass rose and title in block style cartouche.
