1) An Atlas of Classical Geography, by William Huges and George Long, published by Blanchard & Lea, (7.2 x 10.3) 1859. A nice example of this complete atlas edited by George Long. On the cover in gilt is "Long's Classical Atlas." Contains 52 maps and plans on 26 double-pages, 76 pp., with extensive index of places. Hardbound in three-quarter calf and pebbled cloth boards. Leather on spine is later. Overall very good with occasional faint foxing. Binding sound with bumped corners.
2) Atlas of Ancient Geography, by Samuel Butler, published by Blanchard & Lea, (6 x 9") 1841. This complete atlas with 21 double-page plates includes 20 hand colored maps and one plate with four small uncolored maps. The extensive index lists place names based on the authority of ancient and classical authors. Published by Lea & Blanchard. Hardbound in three-quarter calf and marbled paper-covered boards, 8vo. Maps with faint offsetting, endpapers and first few leaves with scattered foxing. Binding rubbed and bumped, but still sound.
