This nice early map of Texas includes several early settlements including Dallas and Fredericksburg. Indian tribes, forts, and early county development are noted. The farthest west counties are Gillespie and Medina at about 99°. A vast uninhabited region lays between the established counties and the Ilamo Estacado.
