This stunning, panoramic view of Rome was engraved after the view drawn by Friedrich Bernhard Werner, who made a series of views of European cities in this large-scale format. It shows the city from a slight elevation with fertile farmland in the foreground. A numbered key at the bottom of the map identifies important sites and buildings.
