Charming miniature map covering the northern part of Asia. Corea is depicted as a long peninsula protected by the kingdom of China and the Great Wall. The map was engraved by the brothers Ambrose and Ferdinand Arsenius who had been assistants to Frans Hogenberg and co-engravers of Ortelius' folio Theatrum. This series of maps was accompanied by text by Michel Coignet, which was translated into German by Levinus Hulsius, and was published by Jan B. Vrients. German text on verso.
