Manuscript map showing the gold-quartz mining claims in the Jamestown-Montezuma area of Tuolumne County, California. Jamestown was once a center for placer and underground gold deposits. Much of the early gold was discovered along Woods Creek, which is prominently drawn on the map. Survey quadrants are shown in red, roads and streams in black and mining claims in orange. Signed by R.G. Rollins, Surveyor General of California.

Nice bright image on heavy paper. There is some minor soiling and a few stains mostly in blank areas, else fine.
