This map is from Roquefeuil's book that recounts his voyage to the South Seas and the northwest coast of South America aboard the merchant vessel Le Bordelais. His 36-month expedition was the first world voyage since the end of the French Revolution, and was designed to open new commercial routes. This lovely double-hemisphere map follows Roquefeuil's route around the globe.

Issued folding, now pressed. Binding trim at lower-left side margin has been remargined, with small loss of neatline. Backed with Japanese tissue to repair a few minor separations at fold intersections.
