A beautiful map of the Isle of Wight that is located off the southern coast of England. There are insets showing town plans of Newport (on the island) and of Southampton (on the mainland) in the lower corners, each with a key to important locations. Four coats of arms are at the right. The mountains and cliffs are graphically depicted and the navigational hazards around the islands are prominently shown. The imprint of Bassett and Chiswell is in the cartouche above the distance scale. English text on verso.

The centerfold has been reinforced to repair a minor separation at bottom. There is also a half-inch inch spot just touching lower neat line and a tiny hole in lower blank margin that does not distract.
