This architectural title page depicts the royal coat of arms of Scotland in the top half, featuring a shield with the red lion of the King of Scots supported by two chained Unicorns. The motto above the crest, "In Defence" is a contraction for "In My Defens God Me Defend." The title imprint is pasted onto the sheet, as was common at the time of publication.

Superb original color highlighted in gold leaf. Faint, scattered foxing and light toning that do not distract.
