This detailed map of Southeast Asia extends from India to Vietnam in the east and Malaysia, Singapore, and Sumatra in the south. The French, Portuguese, Danish and British colonies are outlined, and the map is filled with place names, rivers and mountain ranges. Although most of the geography is fairly accurate, a few inconsistencies remain, including several of the Andaman Islands shown as one big island. First published in 1826, this edition was updated in 1836. An original embossed stamp from Charles Picquet, publisher and successor to Brue, is to the left of the title.
