These lovely lithographs are matted in crisp, archival mats. They are from a scarce hand-colored edition of James Ellsworth DeKay's classic Zoology of New York. The artist is John William Hill. This set includes:
A. Plate 62. Pine Bullfinch and Cardinal Grosbeak (Cardinal).
B. Plate 37. Hermit Thrush and Northern Butcher-Bird.
C. Plate 32. Great-Crested Kingbird and Yellow-Breasted Chat.

Original color on sturdy paper, with very minor soiling in blank margins, far from images. Plate 32 also has light damp stains in bottom and right-hand margins, far from image, and a barely visible spot in blank area of image, else very good.
