This lot is composed of seven fine chromolithographed images from Studer's important ornithological work. The lot includes:
A. Plate XVIII. Three red-headed woodpeckers. (A+)
B. Plate CXV. Two large American Turkeys, grouse and other smaller birds. (A+)
C. Plate CXIV. Numerous birds in branches in upper half, those favoring the ground at bottom. Shows grouse, dove, wren, and many others. (A+)
D. Plate XLIX "The Savanna Sparrow, The Pine Finch, Field Sparrow, Sea-side Finch, Yellow-throated Viroe, Blu-headed or Solitary Warb ". Some foxing mostly in margins. (B+)
E. Plate XXVIII. Several birds including two red cardinals. Scattered foxing, mostly in margins but some into the image. (B)
F. Plate XXXVIII "The Chestnut-sided Warbler, Black-polled Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Snow-bird, Red or American Cross-bill" A little foxing restricted to margins. (A)
G. Plate IX "The Woodcock, The Wood Thrush, The Yellow-bellied Woodpecker, The Scarlet Tanager ". This is a very nice plate that shows a family of Woodcock's including five babies. The yellow-bellied wood peckers feature bright red heads. A few foxing marks mostly in margins. (A)
