This is the first full account of Carteret's voyage based upon his own manuscript journals, supplemented by letters and other documents from the Dutch and English archives. 564 pp. and 5 folding maps. Both volumes are hardbound in embossed blue cloth covers with a ship in gilt on front cover and text on spine, with dust jackets. Condition - contents are tight and clean. Front covers are just starting to separate from binding. (B+)

The author looks into the Elizabethan society to reveal their ideas and outlook and the life and times of Richard Hakluyt. 289 pp. and 30 illustrations and reproductions of maps from 1490 to 1625. Hardbound in gray cloth covers with text on cover and spine in gilt. Condition - contents are tight with some light toning and the covers show some light shelf wear. (B+)
