A) British Maps of Colonial America by William Cumming, 1974, (10.5 x 8.5"). Presents the development of British cartography in colonial North America. The book is divided into four sections - cartography of the South, North, the coast and the conflict. 114 pp. with numerous B&W illustrations. Hardbound with tan cloth covers with dust jacket. Condition - Contents are clean and tight and the cover is sound with the edges slightly bumped. (A)
B) English Mapping of America 1675-1715 by The Mercator Society, 1986. (7 x 9.5"). 22 important English maps of America are illustrated and described. Softbound in gray paper. Condition - pages are clean and bight with two small chips in the spine. (B+)
C) Early Maps of North America. by Robert Lunny, 1961, (8.75 x 9.75"). This was published simultaneously with the opening of the exhibition of 60 maps in the Museum of the New Jersey Historical Society. Robert Lunny, the former director of the New Jersey Historical Society, died in 2008 after a long illness. He headed the Society from 1956 until his retirement in 1977. 48 pp. with illustrations of many historic maps. Hardbound in brown paper covers with gilt text on front and spine. Condition - contents are tight and clean with only some minor wear on the covers. (A)
