This early map of north Scotland depicts the Orkney and Hebrides Islands. The map is adorned with a sea monster, strapwork title cartouche, compass rose and a stippled sea. Engraved by Girolamo Porro and printed on a full sheet (7 x 10.3") of Italian text.

Condition: B+

There is a tiny abrasion with minute loss of map image near center, and marginal soiling. Right blank margin has been reinforced on verso with old paper.
