This finely engraved view of the funeral procession of William IV takes place in the market place in front of the New Church in Delft. Rows of soldiers flank the procession with the hearse drawn by eight horses. William IV (September 1, 1711 - October 22, 1751) was the Prince of Orange-Nassau and the first hereditary stadtholder of the Netherlands. Drawn by Pieter van Cuyck and engraved by Jan Punt.

A fine impression on heavy, watermarked paper with light toning along centerfold and a few faint spots. There is a damp stain in top margin that just enters image and marginal soiling. There is a centerfold separation at bottom that does not enter image.
