Nicely detailed small map of the German Empire stretching from Holland to Poland and from Switzerland to Hungary. The map is decorated with an elegant strapwork title cartouche incorporating the distance scale, as well as a sailing ship and sea monster in the moiré patterned sea. This is from the first edition, with Latin text on verso.
