This is a facsimile of one of the most important publications on Africa issued in the 16th Century, and contains a beautifully engraved title page and maps. The book is from the famous series of atlases and books in facsimile, Theatrum Orbis Terrarum Second Series, Volume I, and has a bibliographical note by R.A. Skelton. First edition, 400 pp, including 12 double-page maps. Tan cloth with titles in gilt on a black ground, and clear dust jacket.
