This unusual thematic map shows the wind and ocean current systems in North America. Two notes in northern Canada indicate the discoveries of Mackenzie and Hearne, and a note that stretches from Canada through the U.S. indicates "plains, or massive expanses of meadows like in Tartary." In Central America, Honduras is named Mosquitos.

Issued folding, now pressed, with faint toning along folds and a few small, insignificant spots. The top margin is trimmed close at left, but is still adequate for framing
