This large, scarce sea chart of the Arctic Ocean shows Iceland, Spitsbergen, and parts of Greenland, Scandinavia and Russia. The coastlines are well detailed with place names, soundings, shoals, anchorages, and navigational hazards. The coastline of Greenland is largely blank, except for a few notations of explorers' discoveries. The map is adorned with a 16-point compass rose and rhumb lines. On two sheets, joined.
