A superbly engraved depiction of Flanders, extending from Douay (Douai, France) in the south to Brouwershaven in the north and Antwerp in the east. The map is filled with details of roads, rivers, forests, and towns of all sizes, with fortified cities shown pictorially with a miniature plan. The map is adorned with a vignette of Europa and a cherub supporting the Flanders coat of arms, Neptune and his chariot, and a mermaid.
