This miniature map of Elba and adjacent islands, off the coast of Tuscany, features pictorial views of cities, fortifications, and the topography of the land. Oriented with north to the top right, the map is adorned with sea monsters, sailing ships, a mermaid, a compass rose, and a decorative title cartouche. Engraved by Girolamo Porro and printed on a full sheet (7 x 10.3") of Italian text.
