This uncommon miniature map shows the territory between the Mediterranean, Black, Caspian, and Red seas. Pierre Duval was Nicolas Sanson's nephew and pupil. He published a wide range of atlases and individual maps including a fine miniature world geography with many of the maps based on Sanson.

Watermarked paper with faint toning along centerfold, one small spot, and a couple of minute holes only visible when held to light. There is a centerfold separation in bottom blank margin that has been closed on verso with archival tape.
