This uncommon map of northern Turkey is centered on Ancyra (Ankara) and illustrates the provinces inhabited by the three Celtic tribes (Tolistobogi, Tectosages, and Trocmi) that migrated from the Danube Valley to Galatia in the 3rd century BC. Cities, rivers, mountains, and tribal provinces are depicted, along with key routes between cities. The map is adorned with a decorative title cartouche. Published by Pierre Mortier.
