This decorative map extends from Assyria to the Mediterranean Sea and shows the route taken by Abraham from Ur to Haran, showing the cities of Bales and Niniveh as well. The vignette at left shows Adam and Eve in Paradise with Eve being offered the apple, and a second vignette depicts their expulsion from Eden. A re-engraved version of Nicholas Visscher's map of 1657, with a young fisherman above the cartouche. German text on verso.

A few spots of printer's ink residue and marginal soiling. Remargined at right and left with a minute amount of neatline in facsimile. A centerfold separation at bottom has been expertly repaired, with a small amount of image in facsimile.
