This miniature map of the Philippines was issued in the German edition of Mallet's Description de l'Univers published by Johann David Zunners. The map extends to include part of Borneo, and features a vignette of a raging sea battle. The title cartouche is in the shape of a large shell held by a mermaid with two sea horses. The map is dated 1684, but was published circa 1719.
